1. Summary

Your content is analysed locally. ClearNest processes media, file paths, app-storage information and device-setting results on your Android device.

No ClearNest account or file server. We do not operate account, cloud-sync, remote-cleaning or file-upload infrastructure.

Google services process limited technical data. Firebase, Google Mobile Ads, UMP and Google Play Billing operate as described below.

This website does not track visitors. It uses no analytics, ads, cookies, forms or third-party scripts.

2. Who operates ClearNest

This policy applies to the Android app ClearNest, package com.leon.clearnest, published by LeonWang.

Privacy and support contact: wfkakathy@gmail.com.

3. Information processed on your device

Depending on the feature you choose and the access you grant, ClearNest may read and process:

  • media-library metadata and content needed to show thumbnails, identify screenshots, older videos, large files and visually or digitally similar photos;
  • file names, paths, sizes, types and modification dates for cleanup candidates such as leftover installers and temporary files;
  • installed-app labels, package names, storage size, cache size, installation source and recent-use time;
  • device security state such as screen lock, encryption, security-patch date, USB debugging, enabled accessibility services, notification listeners and counts of apps holding sensitive permissions;
  • your cleanup selections, ignored apps, appearance, language, automation settings and locally cached subscription status.

This information is used to provide the feature on your device. ClearNest does not upload photos, videos, audio, file names, file paths, installed-app names, package lists or security-audit details to a ClearNest or developer-operated server.

Photo and video optimisation creates a new local copy. Original media is removed only after you choose it and Android permits or confirms the deletion. Local app settings remain until you clear ClearNest data or uninstall it. Optimised media copies remain in your media library until you delete them.

4. Information processed by online services

ClearNest uses the following Google services. Their processing can depend on your region, consent choices, device settings and Google account settings.

ServicePossible dataPurpose
Google Analytics for FirebaseCoarse feature names, completion counts and bytes, permission outcomes, ad-format outcomes, app-instance and device/app informationUnderstand feature reliability and product use
Firebase Remote ConfigFirebase installation identifier and ordinary app, device and request metadataRetrieve non-secret ad switches and frequency settings
Google Mobile Ads and UMPConsent state, device/app identifiers, approximate region, ad requests, impressions, interactions and diagnosticsConsent, ad delivery, frequency control, fraud prevention and measurement
Google Play BillingProduct, offer, purchase, acknowledgement, account and transaction information handled by Google PlayOffer subscriptions and verify ClearNest Pro access

ClearNest analytics events use controlled feature and placement labels plus numeric counts. They do not include media content, file names, file paths, installed-app names, package lists, security finding details, contact details or other user-entered free text.

For provider details, see the Google Privacy Policy, Firebase privacy and security information, and Google advertising technologies.

5. Android permissions and special access

  • Photos, videos, audio and older shared-storage access: find and display media cleanup candidates and calculate real sizes.
  • All files access: find leftover APK installers, empty folders and temporary files outside Android's indexed media collections. ClearNest only removes items you select through its cleanup flow.
  • Usage access: read real installed-app size, cache size and recent-use information. ClearNest sends you to Android settings to clear another app's cache because Android does not allow silent clearing.
  • Installed-app visibility and uninstall request: show launcher apps and open Android's user-confirmed uninstall or app-settings screens.
  • Notifications: show optional automatic-cleanup status and results.
  • Internet and network state: access Firebase, advertising, consent and Google Play services.

You can deny optional access or revoke it in Android settings. Features that require that access will show no result rather than inventing one.

6. Ads and consent

Where required, Google UMP presents advertising choices before ads are requested. ClearNest may show native, interstitial, app-open and user-initiated rewarded ads. Ad frequency and availability can be controlled through Firebase Remote Config. Active ClearNest Pro subscribers do not receive ads.

When Google requires a privacy-options entry point, ClearNest shows an in-app control that lets you reopen the Google consent form. You can also use Android and Google account advertising controls.

7. ClearNest Pro subscriptions

ClearNest offers monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions through Google Play. Google Play displays the applicable local price, billing period, taxes and any eligible introductory offer before purchase. Payment is charged to your Google Play account. You can manage or cancel the subscription in Google Play; cancellation stops future renewal but normally keeps access through the paid period.

ClearNest receives purchase status and product details needed to grant Pro features. Google handles payment credentials. ClearNest does not receive or store your full card or bank details.

8. Sharing, sale and transfers

We do not sell your media, files, installed-app information or device-security results. Data may be processed by the Google service providers identified above for the stated purposes. Provider processing can occur in countries other than yours under their terms and safeguards.

9. Children

ClearNest is a general-audience storage utility and is not directed to children. The app marks users as not known to be under the age of consent when requesting UMP consent information. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information may contact us.

10. Your choices and deletion

  • Review and revoke Android permissions or special access at any time.
  • Use ClearNest's selection controls and Android confirmation dialogs to decide what is deleted.
  • Change applicable ad-consent choices from the in-app Ad privacy options entry.
  • Manage or cancel ClearNest Pro in Google Play.
  • Clear app data or uninstall ClearNest to remove its local settings and cached state. This does not delete media copies already saved to your library.

For requests concerning information controlled by Google, use the controls and request channels in Google's privacy policy. For ClearNest questions, contact us below.

11. Security and policy changes

ClearNest limits processing to the access needed for its features and keeps private cleanup content on the device. No method of software or transmission is completely secure. We may update this policy when features, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when a new policy takes effect.

1. Using ClearNest

You may use ClearNest for personal, lawful storage review, media optimisation and device-setting review. You are responsible for checking every selected file, app and setting before confirming a deletion, uninstall or system-settings change.

2. Device changes

ClearNest presents cleanup candidates and opens Android confirmation or settings screens where required. Deleted files, removed apps and changed settings may be difficult or impossible to restore. Keep backups of important content and review the final Android prompt before continuing.

3. ClearNest Pro

Monthly and yearly ClearNest Pro subscriptions are sold and renewed by Google Play. The price, billing period, taxes and any introductory offer shown by Google Play at checkout control your purchase. You can manage or cancel in Google Play. Cancellation normally takes effect after the current paid period.

4. Ads and third-party services

The free version may display Google ads. ClearNest also depends on Android, Google Play, Firebase and Google advertising services, which are governed by their own terms and may change or become unavailable.

5. No guarantee

ClearNest is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Storage figures and feature availability depend on Android, device vendors, permissions and system APIs. ClearNest does not claim to detect malware and its security review is a settings audit, not antivirus software.

6. Responsible use

Do not reverse engineer, interfere with, abuse or use ClearNest to access another person's device or content without permission, except where applicable law expressly permits it.

7. Changes and termination

Features and these terms may change as the app, platform or legal requirements change. We may suspend functionality where necessary for security, compliance or service availability. The effective date will be updated when revised terms take effect.
